Year 4 visit to Scienceworks

On Thursday 29th of February, the Year 4 cohort visited Scienceworks as part of their Inquiry unit on Exploration.

Students enjoyed attending the Planetarium for a screening of Tycho Goes to Mars. This helped students get a better sense of the Red Planet and its conditions for their research. Following the screening we were treated to some insights into the constellations in the night sky, and some extra information that related to the very special day in which we were visiting ‘A LEAP DAY’.

This was a total bonus for our students.

Speaking of bonuses, we were then treated to a brand new, yet to be released, interactive-show in the learning lab all about ‘Forces and Rockets’, which correlated with both classroom inquiry and STEM. It was magnificent to see the students connecting with the content and applying their knowledge.

We would like to express our gratitude to the parent helpers who so graciously volunteered their time to joined us.
