Proudly announcing St Anne's College inaugural, 2024 School Captains

In a proud moment following the conclusion of the end of year Mass at St Mel's Parish on Friday December 8, College Principal, Sue had the great pleasure of announcing the 2024, inaugural School Captains. All fine, and impressive young leaders, the College looks forward to the group's work next year as they continue to build our community spirit as well as represent the college in various capacities. The college community extends its warmest congratulations to all of our  2024 School Captains.

Annually rousing the community in what has become a titanic battle of sporting prowess between students and staff, the coveted Staff vs SOI Students Soccer Match was hotly contested on Monday, December 11 bringing joy and fellowship to the college as the year

 comes to a close.

Against a torpid sky, the action on the field was electric as competitors met and fought amongst the cascade of cheers issuing from the enthralled younger students.

For the first time ever in college history (and to the great upset of the courageous student competitors) the staff team claimed victory in an enthralling 6-2 win.

Congratulations to all who played and to all who cheered, it was another fabulous instalment of the highly anticipated staff vs students soccer match.

𝓐𝓷 𝓮𝔁𝓬𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓸𝓹𝓹𝓸𝓻𝓽𝓾𝓷𝓲𝓽𝔂 for both our new and existing students to preview the new school year ahead, Tuesday's Statewide Transition Day was a fusion of happy curiosity, familiarisation and fun. While 2024 SOW children enjoyed activities alongside their new learning mentors, students in SOI and SOP (for 2024) rotated to various classes and engaging activities around the college, building as they went a picture of what their dynamic year ahead will look like.

Making the headlines and, if you don't mind...the front page!

Congratulating the five college winners, Rhiannon, Sinead, Flavio, Tyson and Hina for their coveted wins, the Shepparton News stated '[The school]... may need to invest [in a trophy cabinet] after the five students were awarded top prizes during the 2023 MacKillop Art Exhibition Official Opening at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bendigo on November 10.' Going on to detail each of the students' pieces as well as to quote each of the artists' commentaries about their work, The News also recognised the significance of their collective achievement. In a follow-up edit, the paper also acknowledged Rhiannon's 𝕗𝕒𝕓𝕦𝕝𝕠𝕦𝕤 and 𝓻𝓮𝓶𝓪𝓻𝓴𝓪𝓫𝓵𝓮 People's Choice Award win, which was announced on Tuesday, November 28.

This was an exceptional accomplishment for Rhiannon, and the college heartily congratulates her on her stellar win along the outstanding results of Sinead, Flavio, Tyson and Hina. Bravo!
