Grade 3-6:
Wominjeka and welcome to Kurboroo, the senior school module at Waverley Meadows Primary School. And what an amazing start to our school year in the year 3/6 classrooms. The students have come back from the school holidays refreshed and ready for a fun-filled, action-packed 2024. We have hit the ground running and the students are thriving.
In English our focus is utilising the 6 + 1 traits of writing to create engaging texts. We will continue to master our reading comprehension strategies as we explore our mentor texts.
In numeracy, we have a focus on Place Value this term.
In Inquisitive Minds takes us on Australia’s journey From Colony to Federation.
This year we are looking forward to lots of exciting programs happening including;
The Resilience Project
Auslan
The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program
Year 6 buddies with the Prep students
Collaboration with Columbia Park Pre School and Columbia Park Early Learning Centre
