2024 SMPS Easter Raffle - Thursday 6 April

🎉 SMPS is holding an Easter raffle fundraiser!

đŸ«Seeking donations: Our raffle prizes are made up of generous donations from our wonderful SMPS community. If you are able, please purchase one chocolate egg, two chocolate eggs, or a packet of chocolate eggs and hand them in to the SMPS office.

All the chocolate donations will be put together to make up some fantastic prizes! All donations are greatly appreciated, even an Easter basket or gift bags to package the prizes in would be gratefully accepted.

We're sorry, we are unable to accept home-made treats. Only store-bought products please.

🎯 Drawn: The raffle will be drawn on the last day of term, Friday 29th March, after the Easter Hat Parade for our students.

🎟 Raffle tickets: In the coming weeks, each student will receive an envelope with 10 raffle tickets inside. We will ask students to please sell as many as they can. Tickets cost $1 each. Cash only. All money raised will go to help fund improvements to benefit the SMPS students and the community.  Such as, the playground line markings (installed in 2022), our new BBQ (purchased in 2023), and a playground shade sail (installed in 2023!).

In the meantime - please drop off Easter eggs, easter gifts or easter packaging for our Raffle at the office.

Covid-19 Update - Free RATs available

There is currently an increase in community transmission of COVID-19 in Victoria.

You can help us keep our school as safe as possible by taking 2 important steps:

  1. Ensure your COVID-19 vaccinations are up to date. Information on how and where to get vaccinated is available on the Get vaccinated webpage.
  2. If your child shows symptoms of COVID-19, please ensure they stay home and get tested. The easiest way to test is to use a rapid antigen test (RAT).

We have Free RATs available at our school office for collection, please pop in if you would like to have a test kit on hand at home.

If your child has symptoms but tests negative, please ensure they stay home until they no longer have symptoms. If the RAT test result is positive, please ensure they say home for at least 5 days and until there are no more symptoms.

Thank you for your support – these steps will help us all stay well.

Uniform Items Needed

If you have any SMPS uniform items or good quality school shoes that your child has outgrown, we would love to be able to put them back into circulation for another family to benefit from.  We are always looking for uniform donations for our Second-Hand Uniform Shop. Please wash any quality, unmarked, pre-loved Bob Stewart uniform items and drop them off to the office at a time convenient to you.  If you would like to help out with your time, please get in touch with the FAF and let them know, just one hour or so on a Wednesday afternoon is all that is needed!  We wouldn't have a SHUS without your generous donations and time!
