Launching into Learning: Trafalgar Primary's Week One Wonders!

We're excited to share that the first week back at Trafalgar Primary School has been nothing short of fantastic! Our students have dived into the new term with enthusiasm and energy, making it a truly memorable start to the academic year.

The week kicked off with a flurry of activity, with students in Year 3 to 6 diving into swimming lessons. It's been wonderful to see our students embracing the water, learning essential swimming skills, and having fun while staying active.

In addition to swimming lessons, we also held our senior swimming carnival, where our students showcased their talent and sportsmanship in various aquatic events. It was a day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a true sense of school spirit.

Last Friday we held our first assembly of the year, where we had the pleasure of introducing our new student leadership team. These exceptional students have shown great dedication, leadership skills, and a commitment to making a positive difference in our school community. We have no doubt they will excel in their roles and inspire their peers throughout the year.

As our older students made a splash in the pool and took on leadership roles, our Foundation and Year One students have embarked on their academic journey sitting their first literacy and numeracy assessments. The information gathered is used to generate reports that provide an overview of student achievement and information to inform program planning at our school and resource allocation by the department of education.

We're incredibly proud of all our students for their outstanding efforts and achievements during this first week back. Their enthusiasm, resilience, and willingness to embrace new challenges are a testament to the vibrant spirit of our school community.

As we continue our journey into the school year, let's carry forward this momentum, supporting and encouraging one another every step of the way. Together, we'll make this year one to remember!
