Bonjour toute le monde
I am very proud to congratulate our Grade One and Two students who recently entered the Handwriting Competition at the Korumburra Agricultural Show under the guidance of Mrs Sherriff. Marion Businos, Max Geitz, Alice Gray and Nelson Jimmy were all awarded a prize for their fabulous handwriting. Way to Go!
As we begin a new month and a new season I would like to touch on the importance of routines, including the routine of attending and participating in school and school activities during the school term. Regular attendance and being on time are important life skills and I think this visual will really help you understand what it looks like if our children miss even just one school day a week.
If you, or your child, are struggling with the school routines, please reach out to your classroom teachers to discuss how we can help and support you to keep your children learning, communicating and building resilience - important skills that serve us for a lifetime.
South Gippsland Council have recently advised that they have been receiving reports that there is quite a lot of illegal stopping/parking happening around our schools with vehicles hindering buses and causing visual obstructions for our School Crossing Supervisors, increasing the risk of traffic and pedestrian incidents.
As a result, Council will be focusing on safety around schools and actively patrolling parking during school times. Please observe all signage and ensure you stop/park legally at all times around schools.
Finally, don't forget to donate to our annual Easter Raffle. We would be grateful to receive Easter chocolates, Easter themed craft activities or books and soft toys etc. to wrap up and be raffled off at our final school assembly for Term One. Donations can be sent via your child's classroom or left in the office anytime from now until Wednesday, 26 March 2024.
Passez un bon week-end!
Liz
