Hi everyone, my name is Amy Wright.
I am excited to begin another year here at OGPS, teaching in Year 1. I love living and working in our wonderful community, the beach is my happy place!
As many of you know, I have been learning Auslan (Australian Sign Language) through causal classes over the last couple of years. I am still very much a beginner but always love sharing my knowledge and practising with others.
Another passion of mine is reading and exploring books. I love to discover new books and hear about what adventures and interesting facts others have read about.
I hope everyone has a lovely year, I can’t wait to hear about your passions and perhaps get a tip for a new book to explore!
Hi, my name is Kristy Dodds and I have been teaching at OGPS for 6 years. I feel very lucky this year as I am teaching our terrific Year 6 students.
I grew up in sunny Sydney, then 14 years ago I made the move south to Victoria. I am therefore spilt between 2 footy codes: the almighty Manly Sea Eagles and the courageous Carlton Blues.
I have 4 gorgeous children who love sport and keep me extremely busy. My son Max (Yr4) is a student at OGPS and my eldest 3 children, Alice (Yr7) Chloe (Yr9) and Harrison (Yr11), attend St Ignatius Geelong College.
One of my favourite things to do is plan our family holidays and travel. I have travelled to over 35 countries and lived in 4 different countries including Spain, Scotland, England and Estonia. I actually met my husband Mick backpacking in Turkey, 20 years ago!
In my spare time I enjoy doing yoga, Pilates, walking my dog Ned, reading and binge-watching shows on Netflix.
