On Monday our new SRC were announced. Congratulations to Jarrah and Sam (Year 3), Aislynn and Kobe (Year 4), Amalie and Peter (Year 5) and Sophie and Mac (Year 6).  I am sure they will make a great team and am looking forward to working with them, as they represent our school over the year ahead.  I would also like to acknowledge our outgoing SRC members, Queenie, Arthur, Luella, Charlize and Eli, who have all shown themselves to be dedicated to the role of SRC. It has been a pleasure working with them over the last year and I am sure they will be a great support to our incoming SRC.

Congratulations to all students who participated in last week's Upper Hume Division Swim Carnival.  On Monday, we heard about the events they swam in, their achievement and experience.  Competing at Division is a great experience and our students can all be proud of their acheivement!  In addition, several of our students will now go on to Shepparton for the Reigonal Finals.  All the best to Mac, Annabelle and Peter.

Many thanks to Chris, DC, Duane, Mac, Alex, Finn and Tom for their help on Tuesday, moving some of our outdoor furniture.  We really appreciate the assistance!

Next Tuesday and Wednesday, students in Years 3-6 will participate in a Science Incursion. The programs will be delivered by the Victorian Space Science Education Centre, and will vary according to the age group and cover topics related to Space Exploration, Robotics and our Solar System.  Our thanks to Joy for coordinating the delivery of this program, which is being provided at no cost to families.

On Friday 1st March, students in Years 3-6 will have the opportunity to participate in the Falls Creek Victorian Interschools MTB event. Registrations are now open and can be found here, along with additional information.  This is an optional activity and, while we will have a staff member there to support students, families are responsible for registering their child, as will as transportation and ensuring your child has the appropriate safety gear and that the bike has undergone the necessary safety checks.

During the week of the 4th-7th March, we will be holding Parent Teacher conferences. Families will be able to book a meeting time online, via Compass and more information will be provided next week.

Are you interested in becoming a citizen scientist?  On Saturday 2nd March, families have an opportunity to learn about how they can support our local native wildlife by helping to monitor platypus numbers.  For more information, and to register your attendance, please click here.
