Wellbeing intervention

This week, our wellbeing intervention groups started with Tilly.

The aim of these groups is to lessen anxiety and stress and increase resilience in children. These groups help children to build their emotional resilience, so they are better equipped to deal with the day-to-day stresses that life brings them.

Prep – 2 students followed the book of “The Red Beast”. A story about controlling anger and calming your Red Beast. Students then drew a picture of their own Red Beast and discussed the different things that awaken their Red Beast.

3-6 students did a deep dive into Zones of Regulation and discussed the concept of multiple feelings existing at once. The feedback from the students was that they were surprised at just how many ways one can describe being happy or sad.
