Years Ten to Twelve Interhouse Swimming Carnival

The 2024 Secondary Ten to Twelve Interhouse Swimming Carnival took place on Wednesday 28 February at the Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre.

Students had the option to participate in differing pathways and a variety of events from:

  • 100m Freestyle,
  • 50m Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and
  • 25m Butterfly
  • 25m Freestyle relay (where the lowest average lap time counted for points)
  • Team Events; Tunnell ball relay and Unders and Overs.

Many of our swimmers deserve praise for their positive spirits and dedication throughout the day, with some even challenging themselves to events that hadn’t planned on swimming.

The 4x50m and 6x50m Freestyle Relays were a highlight at the end of the day, as teams raced against each other and the clock.

The staff were defeated by the Year Twelve Boys in the staff vs student relay at the end of the day, which will prove another great contest in 2025!

We also thank our Year Six leaders who assisted in being on the timing gear and helped out with some swimming events.
