VOCABULARY

Edit: prepare (written material) for publication by correcting, condensing, or otherwise modifying it.

Revise: examine and make corrections or alterations to (written or printed matter)

Proofread: read (written or printed material) and mark any errors.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Students pick sentences from their texts and think of ways to improve them.

Example: 

The brown dog went for a walk.

The brown, fluffy, curious dog tugged at its leash, excited to sniff all the smells on his usual evening walk.
