2025 Student scholarship for Grade 4 -Year 12 Fact Sheet

The Rural Chances Vocational Scholarship

Funding opportunity for young people (16-24 years): The Rural Chances Vocational Scholarship from You Thrive Victoria. 

This funding is for young people who wish to go onto TAFE/apprenticeship but face some barriers (e.g., financial, location, etc). It offers up to $5,000 to relocate, or up to $2,000 to assist with expenses. 

Criteria for applications:

• Be 16-24 years of age
• Hold a current Centrelink health care card, or can provide evidence of significant financial hardship
• Identify a TAFE qualification (Certificate III or above) they would like to enrol in or are enrolled in OR an apprenticeship they would like to undertake
• Be willing to be accountable for the use of scholarship funds
• Be willing to participate in publicity/promotional material and research

Closing date for applications is in two weeks (4th November 2024).
