Bike Education and Orienteering
Bike Education
This Term we have been lucky to have been able to offer our Year 4, 5 & 6 students the opportunity to enhance their bike riding skills. This has been a program that we have used over the last three years with great success.
Over a period of approximately 3 weeks, our students learnt about traffic rules, bike maintenance and safety on our roads whilst riding. Our 5 & 6 cohort were able to ride the many Epping and Wollert bike tracks. It really was a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Orienteering
Our Year 5 cohort experienced orienteering on our expansive SMCM grounds. We learnt about teamwork, map reading and how to collaborate with our partner under pressure. This is an area we will continue to explore in the future as the kids really enjoyed the challenges.

'Sew' Much Fun in Visual Arts!
This Term, all year levels have been exploring a variety of Textile Art.
We have explored materials such as yarn, thread, needles, fabrics and fibres to create our own art pieces. We have learnt different types of stitch and techniques such as weaving and knotting. Look at some of our looms, stuffed toys and decorations, stitch cards, Burlap stitching and dolls!
