Inquiry in Grade 3/4 unit
This term in our Grade 3/4 unit, we will be exploring the fascinating concept of forces. We will be investigating how forces affect the behaviour of objects through various actions like throwing, dropping, bouncing, and rolling.
Our driving question is What makes things move? Through hands-on activities, students are going to discover and explore how force can be exerted in different ways. There is curiosity and excitement in our classrooms as the students have created their wonderings to guide our inquiry.
Can gravity be reversed? – Sophie
How was gravity discovered? – Milla
Why do magnets attract metal? – Sophia
Why can’t you see forces? – Ellora
The enthusiasm has grown this week as the students completed some amazing biographies on scientists who have made significant contributions to the field of physics.
Their engagement and hard work have been inspiring, and we can’t wait for you all to see the authentic action they've been planning. We will be designing our own games using different forces.
