Celebrating Our Year 4 Campers

Resilience at Lady Northcote Camp

This week, we had the pleasure of witnessing our Year 4 students embark on a memorable journey to Lady Northcote Camp in Glenmore. It was a week filled with growth, challenges, and opportunities to shine. Our campers demonstrated an exceptional level of resilience throughout the experience and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements.

At camp, the children stepped up in every way. Each camper focused on achieving their own personal best, tackling new activities with determination and courage. Whether it was mastering the art of bike riding, navigating obstacle courses, or simply embracing the outdoor environment, they continually pushed themselves to improve.

What was even more inspiring was the way our students encouraged one another. They showed genuine care and support for their peers, offering a kind word or a helping hand when it was most needed. This spirit of teamwork and mutual encouragement made the experience even more meaningful for everyone involved.

Resilience was on full display as our campers bounced back from minor setbacks—such as falling off bikes or feeling uncertain about a new activity—with grace and determination. Each challenge was met with a positive attitude, and they didn’t let any bumps in the road dampen their spirits. It was heartening to see how quickly they recovered and how eager they were to try again.

Respect and manners were also highlights of the camp. Our Year 4s were wonderful ambassadors of our school, showing appreciation and gratitude to the camp staff, teachers, and each other. The politeness and respect they demonstrated are qualities that will serve them well in every aspect of their lives.

We were truly blessed with beautiful weather, which only added to the enjoyment of the week. The sunny days and fresh air provided the perfect backdrop for all the outdoor activities, from bushwalking to team-building games.

To our Year 4 campers: Congratulations on your achievements this week! You have shown that with resilience, respect, and a positive attitude, you can overcome challenges and reach new heights. We are incredibly proud of you all and look forward to seeing how you will continue to grow.

Parents, you can take great pride in the way your children represented themselves and our school. We are sure they have come home with wonderful stories and new skills that will stay with them for years to come.

Thanks for all your support,
