Term 4 Borrowing

The last week for borrowing this term will be Week 5. I ask that all library books be returned to the library during Week 6. Children will have continued access to reading material via SORA, the online platform, and, World Book Online. Could you please continue to search for any overdue books that may be hiding at your home? If your child has books that are identified as overdue, but they feel they have been returned, please encourage them to come and talk to me and we may be able to track them down together. In the meantime don’t forget that library borrowing will continue as usual on Thursdays and Fridays for Weeks 4 and 5! Don’t forget your library bag! I appreciate your support in this matter!

Overdue Books

There are still a number of students who have overdue books. Please ask your children to search for library books at home and return them as soon as possible. If your child knows that they have overdue books at home that simply cannot be found please contact me via email mholley@arm.catholic.edu.au so that we can arrange a means of reparation. Many thanks for your ongoing support with this.

Book Club

Many thanks to all those families who have taken the opportunity to order a book through Book Club, your books should be ready for delivery soon. There will be one more issue of Book Club this term providing parents and carers with another excellent opportunity to purchase gifts for Christmas, and, if you let us know, we can hold books at school for anyone wanting to keep them as a Christmas surprise. As always, Book Club is a voluntary program and there is no obligation to buy.

Lunch Time in the Library

Did you know that the library is open every day during the second break? Do you like to draw, colour pictures, do origami, solve a jigsaw, play a board game, read a book, join our knitting club or use the STEM materials? Then come in and see what’s happening in the library. It would be great to see you there!

Reading at Home

Don't forget that your child has 24/7 access to reading material through SORA and World Book Online. Please note that your child will need their school login details to access SORA,  if they are unsure of their login details please contact the school so we are able to provide them for you.

This week SORA is highlighting the importance of storytelling and provides some recommendations for primary readers.
