HOUSE ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

House Athletics House Carnival

Friday 16 August 2024

The weather forecast before last Friday was for a thunderstorm and wet and cold conditions. We woke up Friday morning to pink skies, overcast but a fine morning. The weather held off and we could believe how lucky we were to get through the day with only one small rain shower.

The students and staff arrived dressed up in their house colours and the atmosphere was positive and electric. Parents, grandparents, friends, ex-students all turned up to help, cheer and support.

MPS Staff, ex MPS high school students and our wonderful parents’ helpers were invaluable in making the whole day run smoothly and successfully. I cannot express my gratitude enough.

I was so impressed with the effort and enthusiasm of all students, staff and parents. Lots of students did their personal best. (PB) I really enjoyed watching the participation of all students who although exhausted were still giving it their all. Students who had been sick leading up to the carnival competed courageously knowing they weren’t 100 %.

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone.
