Como House Excursion

Junior School Excursion to Como House - Written by Prep B, Year 1R & Year 2B Students

As part of our inquiry learning this term, we visited Como House to see the differences and similarities that can be observed between the past and today. 

We enjoyed a House Tour and learnt a dance, had a go at servant duties from the 1880s in the laundry and played ‘old fashioned outdoor games’ on the lawns of Como House. The day ended with the ‘Mystery Trail’ which was lots of running around finding clues. 

Thank you to Kasia (Henry’s mum), Rebecca (Boyd’s mum), Julie (Sophie and Rose’s mum) and Sarah (Sunday’s mum) for helping us on our excursion and Miss Katherine for coming along to help too! 

We had a great day, asked many clever questions and learnt lots too!
