Year 5 Assembly

On Monday the 5th of August, the Year 5's had the best time performing at assembly.

Our assembly was based on the Olympics, which everyone loved. Our assembly described our fun incursion.  The incursion started with getting to know the mini-boss Olympics group leaders. They were so much fun and got us revved up for the day.   It went for half the day and we performed different challenges in groups of 4-5. We collected points for showing the Olympic values. Whichever group had the most points at the end would win a prize. Then at the end we all made passports for ourselves. It was a memorable experience and we all loved it. We enjoyed performing the whole school.

The Year Five assembly was amazing! It was based on the Mini Olympics incursion we had just the week before, and the actual Olympics that were happening at that time. We prepared diligently for our assembly. Every Year Five student participated in at least one part of the assembly. Some of us spoke about our experience of the Mini Olympics, the symbolism of the Olympic rings, and the main and most important values in the Olympics. Last but not least, the assembly concluded with an outstanding performance of the song "Be Brave and Be Bold" that resonated with the spirit of the Olympics.
