National Week of Action Against Bullying

12th - 16th of August, 2024

During Bullying No Way Week, classrooms completed activities focusing on embracing our diversity, respecting each other and standing up together against unkindness. It was wonderful to see students and staff dressed in purple on Friday to represent our commitment to standing against bullying.

At Good Shepherd, we believe that we all belong and are connected. This means we all have a role in preventing bullying. Good Shepherd is a safe place where everyone feels supported and respected, and all voices are heard and valued.

Each day we shared a daily message and had a discussion about how if we focus on these messages in our lives we can help make sure that bullying has no place at Good Shepherd and beyond.

The 5 messages were:

1. Challenge stereotypes

2. Promote empathy

3. Embrace diversity

4. Foster positive relationships

5. Provide support

2EN and 1S wrote down people who we have connections with and made paper chains.

In Year 6, we completed a mosaic activity that aimed to show how even though we are all different, it doesn't mean we can't all fit together and appreciate each others differences.
