TERM 3 WEEK 6
We have hit the halfway mark of another extremely busy term. Sports Day is quickly approaching and it is going to be an amazing day full of exciting events and student/community participation. We are still looking for volunteers and donations so please respond to the survey in this newsletter if you are able to help out.
As you may have seen promoted Steve Blucher, Dominic's dad, will be undertaking the first awareness walk for DMD called 79on7/9.
This year he will be walking on September 20th to coincide with our Sports Day so that the entire LNPS community can have the opportunity to be involved in this amazing event.
If you would like to get involved or help out with a donation, please head over to the 79 on 7/9 Facebook page where you will be able to get more information.

SSO Recognition Week
Last week was SSO Recognition Week where we were celebrating and acknowledging our outstanding SSOs. Thank you to all of our wonderful support staff. We are so grateful for everything you do for our students, staff, families and the whole school community. #SSOWeek #LNPSProud
They are the bright and cheery team that welcomes you to the school and helps you with finances, medical issues and with information about the school. They provide programs for intervention for children, they provide support for specific learning needs, they maintain the school grounds and buildings, and they help to maintain a vibrant and interesting library.
The school could not operate effectively without the huge support they provide to us as leaders and teachers in the school.
We feel sure that you, as an appreciative school community, would join us in acknowledging the great work that they do.
To acknowledge our wonderful SSO Team we had a lovely lunch provided by Bakers On Henley and cards of appreciation designed by our students. We also created supercard heroes for each of our SSOs.
Staffing
We are sad to share that Gena, our amazing Library Manager and exceptional Learning Support SSO, will be leaving LNPS at the end of Week 7 to pursue new career opportunities.
Gena has been a dedicated and valuable member of our school community for 5 and 1/2 years. Her contributions to Learning Support and the Library have made a significant positive impact on our school.
We wish Gena all the best in her future endeavours.
We will be announcing her replacement in the near future.
Student Ambassadors
Congratulations to our Student Ambassadors for their extremely informative video 'The Benefits of Sleep'. This premiered at our Assembly on Monday.
'Our Wellbeing & Engagement Collection Survey reflected that 25% of LNPS students in years four to six don’t get a good night's sleep 5 days a week. We wanted to improve this problem by making a video to showcase the benefits of sleep. A video can better engage our LNPS student community rather than simply reading a page full of facts. Our video is in a news reporting style with the facts and information being shared by our student ambassadors. We hope you enjoy this informative video.' Haris - F13
Exceptional work everyone and well done to Haris for producing the movie. We hope you enjoy learning about the importance of sleep.
