SJV Indonesian Day 2024

Selamat pagi! (Good morning!)

St John Vianney’s will celebrate our Indonesian Day in our school on Wednesday 28 August 2024.

I am excited to invite and inform you that this year's celebration will be about our senior students’ initiatives in organising Indonesian-themed fun activities for our school's community. Below are the main events:

Parents Indonesian Morning Tea:

Our students will serve light Indonesian Morning Tea for parents. The morning tea will be provided by the school with no charge, and held between 8:45am – 9:30am in the Staff Room. For catering purposes, an Operoo email will be sent to confirm your attendance. The Foundation classes will also sing short Indonesian songs during this time.

Dress Up:

On this day, children are encouraged to dress up in red & white OR red & black celebrating the Indonesian national colours.

Fun Activities:

Our students have also prepared fun games and activities throughout the day such as Indonesian fun games, quiz, and face painting (please inform the teacher if your child does not require face painting). For the first time, we will have Teachers V Students playing Indonesian popular games after recess at 2:30pm in Assembly Area (outside Staff room). We welcome parents to watch or participate in the games.
