Long Service Leave Update
I wanted to let you know that I will be on Long Service Leave for the rest of the term.
During this time, the young artists at our school will be in the capable hands of Miss Kylie. I’ve left some exciting projects for the students to get stuck into, and I’m confident they’ll continue to create wonderful artwork while I’m away.
I look forward to seeing all the amazing work they’ll produce when I return!
Warm regards, Aasta
As part of Book Week, Grade 4-6 students in Performing Arts have been working on creating "fractured fairy-tales".
They worked in groups, looked at two fairy-tales, and worked to mash the stories together.
It was great seeing the creativity of the students come through in their performances to the class.
The last two weeks have been jam-packed with Science Week preparations! A big thank you to our STEM Leaders who have worked exceptionally hard to create videos for our Science Week event on Thursday 15th August. Some junior students have been practising their paper plane making skills ready for Science Week. Students in Grades 3 - 6 have been learning about data and have collected and presented data in graphs and charts.
¡Hola familias!
For the last two weeks, our Preps have been diving into Spanish by identifying and naming different words from the beloved story of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". For book week, we made our very own Hungry caterpillar book in Spanish to have in our classroom library and read.
Grade 1 to 4 students have been embracing the Olympic spirit by learning about different sports and creating their very own posters with Spanish chants to cheer for their team.
Meanwhile, our Grade 5 and 6 students have been learning place prepositions in Spanish and continuing on their project to construct a Spanish city in Minecraft.
¡Bravo!
