Diversity Cup

The 2nd annual Diversity Cup (formerly Interschool Cup) was held on the 10th September with students from Anson Street School and Carenne (Bathurst) participating in a round-robin event. Sports played on the day was Boccia, T-Ball and Futsal before we hosted our Carenne friends for a BBQ lunch at school. Competition was held in Stage groups with Anson Street retaining the Diversity Cup by 10 points to 6. A huge thank you to Carenne staff and students for coming over for the day and for all our staff and students for assisting and competing on the day in true Anson Street School spirit. Plans will start shortly on the 2025 edition to make it even bigger.

Inclusive Sport Unit Multi-Sport Day

Primary and secondary students recently attended the multi-sport come and try day at the PCYC. This event is run by the Inclusive Sport Unit and allows student and staff to participate in a range of sports including rugby league, golf, tennis, boccia and soccer. Modified games and activities are provided to ensure maximum participation and enjoyment for everyone involved.

Tennis Challenge

Each Wednesday, we have had had the pleasure of visiting the Orange Indoor Tennis Centre for our weekly secondary sport. Members of the tennis club have been watching each week and passing on tips to our students. On the final week of sport, a challenge was made to take on our tennis superstars in a tennis match. It was great to engage with the wider community in a friendly game of tennis.
