Grade 2 News

It’s been a busy and exciting term of learning in Grade 2!
Students have continued to engage deeply in a range of meaningful and hands-on learning experiences across all subject areas.
Science
Our young scientists have been exploring a range of fascinating topics through hands-on investigations and experiments. From the forces of Push and Pull, to filtering water, and observing simple chemical reactions—students have been developing their curiosity and scientific thinking skills in creative and practical ways.
Literacy
In Reading, we continue to build fluency, expand vocabulary, and deepen comprehension through a range of rich texts.
In Writing, we are wrapping up our unit on Information Reports. Students will soon be researching, drafting, and preparing to publish their own informative pieces.
Numeracy
In Maths, our focus has been on Multiplication and Division. Students have been learning strategies such as repeated addition and exploring the concept of remainders, helping them develop a stronger number sense and confidence in problem-solving.
Religion
In Religion, we are learning about personal stories and the story of Jesus.
Through discussion and reflection, students are gaining a deeper understanding of how our life journeys connect with the messages found in the Gospels.
We’re proud of the effort students have shown this term and look forward to continuing the learning journey together!
