Semi-Finals

I would like to wish all our semi-finalists every success in their games this weekend. I also congratulate our tennis community who completed their season last Saturday, just missing out on the finals. To all those teams which did not make the semis, well done on your efforts over the season.  I thank all the parents, grandparents and other family members who transported students to their games each week and stood on the sidelines as their cheersquads.

NSTA Tennis Convenor

It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of a new NSTA Tennis convenor for 2026.  Congratulations and thanks go to Mr Chris Nouragas (Leader of Learning, Year 6) who has this week been appointed to the role, following the resignation of long-standing NSTA Convenor, Mrs Samantha Iwatani, who is now teaching at St Gabriel's School.  We wish Mr Nouragas well and know that the St Pius X community will support him in his new role.

The weather once again interrupted many games and brought an early conclusion to the season for some teams.  Congratulations to the 10 teams who have made semi finals this season.

Please note that for semi finals, if scores are level at the end of full time, 2 x 5 minute periods of extra time will be played, followed by penalties if required. This year all grand finals will be held at Macquarie University with times determined by the ISA.

Good luck to all teams playing this weekend.

Mr Simon Yue, Senior Football Convenor

A strong weekend of results over the weekend, hopefully a good sign as we move into the final stages of the season. A quick reminder to our rugby families - under the new ISA format, all teams except the 4th and 3rd XV will now take part in the finals series, starting this Saturday in Bathurst.

Congratulations to our two winning teams - your hard work and determination truly paid off!

Every match I watched, the St Pius X players demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and gave it their all on the court.

Let’s keep that energy going - stay passionate, support one another, and always strive to play your best.

I received confirmation that our teams did not make the finals this season. While that’s always a little disappointing, I want to thank each of you for the effort, commitment, and sportsmanship you’ve shown throughout the season. Good luck for the upcoming summer season!
