Term 3 P&F Meeting
Our Term 3 P&F Meeting on 11 August was a lively and engaging evening, with the Principal, President, and Treasurer sharing updates on everything from academic achievements and wellbeing initiatives to exciting events on the horizon. A real highlight was guest speaker Mr Daniel Burton, Leader of Learning - Student Engagement, Enrichment and Diversity, whose passion and energy shone through as he shared his vision and experiences.
Key updates included the positive NESA 5-year renewal recommendation, the growing popularity of the Academic Annexe, enhancements to the Year 8 and Year 10 subject selection process, changes to before- and after-school supervision times, and a busy calendar of upcoming activities - including a performance by the Canonisation Youth Orchestra.
We also heard about preparations for the Philippines Immersion and the UK Football Tour later this year. Mr Ronchetti shared the SPX NAPLAN results, which show the College performing strongly compared with both State and Independent school peers. Plans for the updated PE and sports uniforms were also outlined.
Parents told us the hybrid format worked well, allowing many to join online and stay connected with College news. Looking ahead, our Term 4 P&F Meeting - the Annual AGM - will take place on Monday 10 November, both in person at the College and online. A meeting link will be shared closer to the date.

SPX P&F Trivia Night 2025
The Trivia night is a wonderful opportunity for the SPX community to come together, meet other parents and raise funds to support your sons.
When: Saturday 30 August at St Pius X College, Chatswood.
Doors open at 6:45 pm and trivia will kick off at 7:15 pm.
Trivia Theme: Your Favourite Letter!
Come dressed as something or someone starting with your favourite letter of the alphabet. For example, if you pick the letter T, you could come as Taylor Swift, a Teacher, or a Tennis Player the possibilities are endless! There will be spot prizes for the best dressed team and best decorated table, so get creative and have fun with it!

All proceeds from the Trivia Night go to support the SPX clubs and your sons' activities.
