What's been happening this week?

🎨 Art Room Adventures This Week!

Over in Prep, our little artists are linking their inquiry topic, “celebrating differences,” with their art lessons. This week, they travelled to Thailand — using layering techniques to create vibrant elephant artworks. It’s been a wonderful way to combine learning with creativity, and the results are both colourful and full of character!

This week in Art, it was the Years 1 and 2 students’ turn to dive into the colourful world of Romero Britto! Inspired by his bold patterns and bright colours, the students showed incredible creativity and a real willingness to try new things. It’s been a joy to see their confidence grow as they experiment with new styles!

Meanwhile, our Years 3–6 students have been busy finalising their unique fish artworks, each one reflecting something special about them. These beautiful pieces are now being arranged for display — we can’t wait for you to come and see the stunning variety on show!

Stay tuned for more exciting updates from the Art Room
