Netball Openings - U9 only

Our U9 Netball Team is still seeking players for Term 3! If you have a student in years 3 or 4 (and born before September 2015)

 who would like to play, please complete the registration below. Games are on Monday evenings at Golden Grove Rec Centre.  

GS Warriors (Basketball)

This week both the Good Shepherd teams faced off against each other in a game that always delivers high intensity and passion from all the players.  The game started frantically as they tend to do when the Warriors and Gators face off and the scoreline swapped back and forth for the majority of the first half with both teams defending resolutely and making it hard for each other to find baskets.  

The last three minutes of the first half the Warriors got in front and looked to be pulling away from the Gators with a 16-10 half time lead.  The second hand started with the same intensity as the first half and the Warriors maintained aa slight buffer between the scores as each team traded baskets.  

Halfway through the half the Gators lifted a gear and started to claw back the Warriors lead and with 2 minutes remaining on the clock they got themselves in front with a 2-point lead.  

The game was a real nail biter, and the Warriors fought back in the final two minutes to turn the score back over and finish the game 28-26 winners.  It was a great game played in great spirit, with both teams leaving it all out on the court as they played their hearts out.

Warriors: Eden 14, Shayla 6, Flynn 2, Charlie 2 Nate 2 & Rhys 2.

Gators: Cooper 10, Madeleine 8, Jude 7 & Finn 1.
