Care and Connection

Celebrating Our Co-Educators

This week, schools across Australia are shining a spotlight on the invaluable efforts of our support staff, whom we proudly call Co-Educators at Good Shepherd. We are truly fortunate to have such a remarkable team, whose dedication consistently surpasses expectations, enriching student learning and empowering teachers to deliver exceptional lessons.

Our Co-Educators embody our school values. They demonstrate Love through genuine care, Optimism by inspiring confidence in learning, and Creativity by offering dynamic opportunities both in and outside the classroom. Thank you, Co-Educators, you are a true blessing to our community.

Book Week

A very big Thank You to families for supporting our Book Week Parade and donation on Monday - We were able to donate $100 to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation!

Continuing Book Week festivities, students have been enjoying special activities and crafts in the library as we celebrate the award-winning books and reading.

As you can imagine, there were lots of photos taken of the day and so it will take some time to check photo permissions of each child before sharing the photos with you. We will share these on our school Facebook page sometime next week.

Men's Breakfast Opportunity

Good Shepherd Church is hosting a Men's breakfast on Saturday the 30th of August at 8am at Lutheran Homes Hope Valley. Come along for fellowship with other blokes, and hear Guest speaker Chris Jaensch, share his testimony and hopefully a few tunes! Enter from grand Junction rd, follow the road to the café. For more information, contact the church office on 8263 5087.

Coffee and Connect

How did your family go with your Book Week preparations?

We would love for you to join us this Friday for a warm coffee (or tea) and conversation. Bring a friend! If you’ve never been before, or you are a regular, we’d love for you to join us in the church café from 8:30am. Stay for 10 minutes or until 10:00am. (Just come through the courtyard.)

This is a great opportunity to meet people in our community and make new friends! It can be comforting and encouraging to hear each other’s stories. Toddlers are welcome! (We have a small playground. You just need to keep an eye on your little one(s) for safety reasons.) I look forward to seeing you soon!

Blessings,

Georgie

KAPS This Sunday!

It is time to explore your creative side! Please join us this Sunday from 4pm as we roll up our sleeves and enjoy a range of art and craft activities... followed by worship and a meal. Come along... bring a friend!

P.S. Might be a good idea to either wear older clothes or pop on an art smock... You know... just in case ;)

A Note of Encouragement...

Hey there... You just might be the one to make a difference to someone’s day!
