F/1/2 CLASSROOM

It has been a very busy and exciting time in our Foundation, Year One and Year Two classrooms! Students have been engaged in a wide variety of learning experiences that are sparking lots of thinking and creativity.
Literacy
Every Friday, we work in small groups to consolidate the concepts from our Initial Lit program. While some students are in focused groups, others enjoy a creative craft activity that connects directly to the storybook we have read in our literacy lessons. Our classroom walls are now filled with beautiful artwork that reflects the stories we have shared together. Please feel free to pop past and see the wonderful creations on display!
Religious Education
In Religious Education, we have been exploring what it means to care for God’s creation. After reading the Creation Story from the Bible, students discussed why it is important to look after our environment. We then went on a nature walk to capture photos of God’s natural world. Back in the classroom, students created thoughtful illustrations of four elements of creation that they especially enjoyed seeing outdoors.
Inquiry
In Inquiry, we continue to explore the concept of History by learning about family trees and how they reflect our own family stories. Students have been eager to share their knowledge about the many important people in their families, proudly showing their understanding of connections across generations.
The F/1/2 students are doing an amazing job engaging in their learning and showing great enthusiasm across all areas. Keep up the awesome work, F/1/2!
