NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL TEAM

A big term of learning and achievement at MSC
It’s been a huge start to the year for learning at Mickleham Secondary College. Our students have already completed a wide range of assessments, including NAPLAN (1750 tests completed), Progressive Achievement Testing (2100 tests completed), and Common Assessment Tasks in each of their subjects. We want to acknowledge the incredible effort from both students and teachers so far – your hard work and commitment to learning is something we’re really proud of.
Next term, we’ll be building on this momentum. We’re asking all students to continue giving their best in every lesson, every day. To support this, we’re launching our new Commit to Achieve program – an afternoon homework and assessment catch-up program designed to help students stay on top of their learning.
We’ll also be sharing our High Expectations and Academic Progression Guide with all students. This guide will clearly outline what is expected in terms of effort, assessment completion, and support available, so that every student can thrive and achieve at their highest level.
Together, we’re building a culture where learning matters, effort is celebrated, and everyone is supported to succeed. Let’s keep striving for our best!
