Years 5/6

Recently we have been doing some practice for the Naplan tests coming up next week and we wish Year 5 all the best. Make sure they have a good night's sleep and a good breakfast. Improving our typing skills has been a focus for this term so hopefully this will help them too.

In Maths, we are learning some strategies to make addition and subtraction easier. We will also have some focus on the formal algorithm.

Lent began last Wednesday with our Ash Wednesday Mass. Our Lenten unit is called Lent: A Time for Building a Just World which will follow on well from our previous unit. Our class mass will be the St Joseph's day Mass on Wednesday, 19th March. It will be an outdoor mass which is a nice change.

It has also been good to see Year 6 displaying Leadership skills by helping with Pancake day, last Tuesday.
