Year 1/2 Newsletter 

We have loved the gorgeous sunshine lately and seeing our students shine and thrive at school! 

In Literacy we have been exploring narratives where students have shared their understanding, likes and dislikes. It has been a great way for us to get to know each others preferences and practise speaking and listening. 

In Mathematics, we are learning to make, name, write and order numbers. While at home, some ways you can practise counting are listed below: 

• Ask your child to collect a certain number of objects for you at the supermarket 
• Cook at home and follow a recipe
• Count the number of steps it takes to walk from different areas in your house 

In SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) we have been building our emotional vocabulary in English and Italian. See pictured some of our fantastic charades!
