Principal's Report

Our final two weeks of the term are proving to be exceptionally busy with a few big events still to come:
Friday 21st March Athletics Day
Monday 24th March School Photo Day
24th - 28th March Year 3 Reconciliation
1st and 2nd April Parent Teacher Interviews
Friday 4th April Colour Run and last day of Term 1 (1pm dismissal)
Please take the time to read about each of these events in the relevant section of the newsletter to familiarise yourselves with what is happening.
Photo Day
Our school photo day is this coming Monday 24th March. Class and individual photos will begin at 9am starting with the Prep classes and then moving through each year level. Sibling group photos are scheduled for after lunch.
Please ensure that all students are wearing full summer uniform. According to our uniform policy, hair accessories should be navy only and we will only allow navy accessories for the photos. Students may wear their hair out on this day if they choose.
Lent
We are now two weeks into Lent, a season of reflection, prayer, and seeking forgiveness. Lent invites us all to pause and examine our actions, encouraging us to consider how we can become better and kinder individuals.
Next week, our Year 3 children will be receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation, a significant moment in their spiritual journey. It is no coincidence that this sacrament takes place during Lent, a time dedicated to reflection and renewal. Through this sacrament, our students will have the opportunity to reflect on their actions and seek forgiveness, a powerful reminder of the importance of both offering and receiving forgiveness.
It was a joy to gather with Year 3 families on Tuesday evening as the children prepared for their sacrament of Reconciliation. Let us keep our Year 3 students in our thoughts and prayers as they take this important step in their faith. And may we all use this Lenten season as an opportunity for spiritual growth and transformation.
Parent Teacher Meetings
Our first round of Parent/Teacher meetings are scheduled for Tuesday 1st April and Wednesday 2nd April. Bookings are now open. You may book your appointment using this link https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au/code/m9g72 or by using the QR code.
School Arrival time in the Mornings
Can I please remind all families that children are not to be on the school playground unsupervised before 8:30am. We have an excellent before school service provided by Team Kids which is available to all families who need their services.
We have noticed an increasing number of students on the playground, unsupervised, before 8:30am. My thanks to the many parents who do wait at Drive through before allowing their children to exit cars onto the playground.
Camps, Sports & Excursions Fund
Any parents who hold a concession card are encouraged to complete the attached form. You may be eligible for a grant which goes towards Camps and Excursions for the children and comes off your school fees.
Have a great week,
Michelle Hill
