We are looking for one parent from each of the groups to be the "Class Parent". This role is to help establish some communication between parents in each of the groups. You might like to set up a WhatsApp group for ease of communication or something similar. You could then organise coffee catch ups or playground visits, or it could simply be a quick way for parents to ask questions of each other or remind each other of upcoming events.
If you are interested in helping set this up for your child's group, please let you teacher know ASAP and we can give you more information.
We are so proud of all the 3 YO children who have settled in so quickly. We would like to thank Shannon and Petra who have assisted the amazing 3 YO team over the last few weeks to ensure they had enough hands at all times to support the children.
The start of the year, getting to know the teachers and the new environment, can be tricky for our littlest learners, but we have found this year in particular, that the children have settled in very quickly. They are very social, engaged and curious. We are certainly excited about the fun we will have this year!
At no time should parents be parking or entering the staff car park. This creates a very unsafe space when cars are entering the full car park and then trying to reverse out again.
Please do not walk through the car park to access the kinder! All pedestrians should be accessing the school and kinder via the gate on Nurlendi Rd, utilising the stairs to the oval and walking across to the kinder as per the green line marked on the below map. IT IS UNSAFE TO WALK THROUGH THE CAR PARK! This applies for both entering and exiting the kinder/school grounds.
The Vermont Reserve is the ideal spot to park if you are entering from that side of the kinder and walking across to the side gate next to the kinder.
Before and after sessions
If you are waiting to pick up your child or for the start of the session, please do not wait in the school grounds. Instead, please wait at the kinder or the Vermont Reserve. It is not appropriate to sit in the school grounds, staff at the school need to know what adults are around the children at all times.
It is also unsafe for kinder children to play on the school equipment particularly unsupervised. Please use the Vermont Reserve playground instead as this is built to be more suitable for 3 and 4 year old children.
Please ensure this information is passed on to anyone who brings or picks up your child. We thank you for your help with this to keep the children and the school and kinder safe.
