Student Services

Term 2 has been a significant and rewarding time for the Student Services team at Warrandyte High School, as we continue to support the wellbeing, engagement, and success of every student.

This term, we’ve seen the introduction of VCE check in meetings, where Mr Ventieri and a team of VCE teachers have met with all of our VCE students at Years 11 and 12 to help them manage their learning, career goals and personal development.

Key highlights from the term include:

  • Numerous Incursions based around the importance of connection and wellbeing during busy periods. Workshops included: Project Rockit, Vic Police, Big sister, Mancave, Optus Digital Learning to name a few (information about these programs can be found in the wellbeing page).
  • GAT Preparation Workshops which supported our senior students in preparation for the GAT exam.
  • Mid Year Exams for students in Years 9 to 12. Giving our Year 9 students their first taste of exams and our Year 12 cohort the vital practice needed for their end of year exams.
  • VCE Careers Expo: Years 10 - 12 students had a day out at the Melbourne Convention centre in the city looking at post secondary pathways.

As we move into Term 3, we remain focused on equipping our students with the skills to navigate the upcoming exams and life after WHS for our senior school students.
