On Wednesday, students in Prep-2 embarked on an exploration of the local township as part of their Integrated topic on Community. It just so happened that the were doing some drills on the oval and invited our students to experience the fire truck up close, including holding the hose! Many thanks to Ellen and Steph for their organisation and to Erin, Alison, Priscilla and Steph for their support on the day.
Today, our students had the opportunity to spend time in the School of Play, with Dale Sidebottom and Paul Campbell. Together, they taught students a range of play-based activities, that helped them to focus on their achievements and teamwork, together with developing a sense gratitude, empathy and self-awareness.
Tomorrow, is the annual XC Cluster run. Students in Prep-6 will travel by bus to the Tawonga Park for this event, which will commence at 11.30am. Lunch will be held at 12.30pm, followed by presentations.
Thanks to Alpine Health, a Wellness Workshop will be held in our multi-purpose building on Tuesday 17th June 4.30pm. You are invited to join Lee Couch for a free, 2 hour workshop incorporating breathwork and meditation, traditional weaving and a yarning circle.
