Making a Difference with Compassion 4 Community

Throughout the Term, we, the Year 11s, have been part of the Compassion 4 Community initiative every Wednesday afternoon at Nundah. This experience has given us the chance to step outside our usual routine and make a real difference by preparing and serving hot meals and desserts to people facing tough times, many of whom wouldn’t normally have access to a warm, home-cooked meal.

But this initiative has been about so much more than just providing food. It’s been an opportunity for us to connect with community members who may rarely experience positive social interactions. Whether it’s through a warm smile, a friendly chat, or simply being there to listen, we’ve learned that even small moments of connection can have a huge impact. For many of us, this has been a chance to better understand the importance of kindness, empathy, and giving back.

We’re excited to share this experience with the Year 10s next Term and to keep Clayfield’s commitment to this incredible program going strong. It’s a reminder that a little compassion can go a long way. We love shining our lights within our local community!
