Thank You Messages:
School Working Bee
A huge thank you to our parents and staff who were able to attend the Working Bee last Thursday. The work completed by the team within 2 hours made a massive difference to the appearance of the grounds.
Colour Run Prizes:
Thank you to the P&F who sorted and distributed the colour run prizes to the students yesterday.
Stationary Supplies:
Thank you to Vanessa and Andrea who spent quite a few hours sorting and organising the school stationary supplies.
School Gates:
Thank you to the parents who ensure Gates 1,2 &3 are closed once school has started and who also open them at 3pm, ready for families who are arriving for pick up.
Your Support is Needed:
To ensure all of our students are adequately supervised and safe at the start of the school day we have a number of expectations in place. The students are aware of these expectations and we would appreciate it if our parents can help to reinforce these expectations.
We ask that you avoid dropping your children off early and that if you have work commitments then you make use of the OSH services offered.
As there is only one staff member on yard duty before 9am, students should not be on the ovals or the playground near the bike racks. Students are asked to play in the middle area of the school, which includes the basketball courts.
The middle area of the school and the basketball courts are a football kicking free zone. If your child is bringing their own football to school, then it needs to remain in their bag until recess when they can then take it to the oval to play.
We have plenty of sports equipment available to students. If your child still chooses to bring their own ball, please make sure it has their name on it and that they understand that it may end up lost or on the roof. Staff are unable to get onto the roof of the school to retrieve balls, so any equipment on the roof will need to stay there until we have someone with qualifications to be on the roof.
Mother's Day Breakfast:
We have had a really positive response to our Mother's Day Breakfast Bonanza and look forward to seeing all of our special Mums Thursday morning. Don't forget to collect your coffee van voucher from Ms Dowsett when you arrive.
Out of hours access to the school:
As a part of the community, we are happy to share our facilities with community members. We would love it if our community could also help by ensuring anyone here on the weekends or after hours are using our facilities respectfully. Unfortunately, we have had issues with playgrounds being damaged, netball poles being snapped out of the ground, seats being marked with inappropriate graffiti, plants ripped from the vegetable garden and party rubbish being left on the grounds. Please help us to look after our school and speak up if you see visitors misusing our facilities.
