SKiPPS Disco Magic at the Town Hall! 🪩💃🕺
What an incredible night! The SKiPPS community turned out in full force for our school disco last week, and what a night it was — a celebration of music, lights, laughter and community spirit in the grand setting of St Kilda Town Hall.
From the moment the doors opened, the energy was electric. Students danced their hearts out under glittering lights, showing off their best moves (and some impressive moonwalks!), while the beat kept pumping thanks to our amazing in-house DJ, Mat Gdanitz — who transformed the hall into a full-blown dance party! The sound and light show was spectacular, thanks to our generous sponsors Team Kids, who donated the equipment hire and helped set the tone for a magical evening.
In the middle of all the excitement, a well-earned pizza break brought smiles all around, with Pizza Hut St Kilda generously donating delicious slices for our disco-goers. Judging by the happy (and slightly tomato-sauced) faces, it was a hit!
Events like this don’t happen without serious behind-the-scenes effort, and we want to send out a heartfelt thank you to our phenomenal team of parent volunteers. Led by disco dynamo Belinda Williams, this superstar crew — Bec Walton, Brook Saunders, Elisa Webb, Rachael O'Connor, Rowena Fitzgerald, Anna Esque, Annie Trewhella, Claire Byrne and Abby Cormack — helped bring the vision to life. From decorating and organising, to managing the crowd and cleaning up at the end, they did it all with enthusiasm and grace. What a team!
We’re also incredibly grateful to our staff — Jac, Michelle, Mel, Natalie, Amy, Chantel and Molly — for joining us on the night and helping to make sure everything ran smoothly and safely. Your support means the world.
Enjoy the fabulous photos from the night – packed dancefloors, glowing smiles, and memories made. We’re so proud to belong to a school community that shows up with joy, support and a whole lot of sparkle.
Here’s to the next one!
