SKiPPS Mothers Day Breakfast & Run Club
A team of SKiPPS dads are excited to share that we will be holding our annual Mother’s (and special person's) Day breakfast tomorrow (Friday 9th) from 8am in the school grounds (sorry about the late notice).
Featuring beautiful pastries from SKIPPS mum Immy and her team at Little Sister Bakery and a coffee cart onsite to celebrate all of the amazing mums in our community.
Pastries and a juice are only $5. Come down early to celebrate this special day - it would be great to see as many mums there as possible.
After you’ve got your pastry and juice/coffee at school tomorrow morning for Mother’s Day, come on out to the oval for Run Club! You can run off the croissants or just sip your coffee whilst the kids run laps and you listen to a playlist of anthems by women, for women.
Run Club is on every Friday morning there is school, 8:15am-8:45am. Meet us at the Pavillion across the oval from school. Kids run laps each week, and get certificates at assembly for milestones.
Looking Ahead to 2026 – Foundation Enrolments Now Open! 🎒
It might feel like 2025 has only just begun, but we’re already looking ahead to Foundation enrolments for 2026 — and we’ve started receiving our first completed forms!
If you have a child starting school next year, we’d really appreciate you returning your enrolment paperwork as soon as possible. Early enrolments help us begin planning for the year ahead and ensure we can provide the very best start for every new SKiPPS student.
📝 Enrolment forms and more information can be found on our website here:
📂 Prefer a hard copy? Enrolment packs are also available from our school office — just drop by and grab one.
We’re currently running regular school tours for prospective families, and we’d love your help spreading the word! If you have friends, neighbours or relatives looking for a warm, creative and inclusive school community, please encourage them to come and see SKiPPS in action.

Let’s work together to make 2026 another incredible year at SKiPPS!
Outside School Hours Care Program survey
For the last four years the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program at SKiPPS has been provided by an external provider Team Kids, who have a licence agreement with our School Council to provide this service every day (and also on school holidays and curriculum days).
Following the completion of our building works, the Team Kids program is now back in its permanent home, the Kitchen Dining Room and the Director of Service Jacqui and her team have settled in.
Our current contract with Team Kids expires at the end of 2025 and School Council have decided to gather some feedback about the current program to understand parent and student perceptions of the service so we can make a well-informed decision around our next contract.
We would appreciate you spending ten minutes answering a short survey, so we can understand what our community thinks is important in an OSHC program and whether our current program fully meets these needs.
In doing this, we encourage you to chat to your children for their views on the program - whether they are regular users or not.
The survey can be found on the link below;
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Cyber safety Incursions
Cybersafe Incursions Term 2
All year levels participate in Cybersafe incursions each term. The content of these incursions is created by a child psychologist and presented in a fun and motivational online webinar. This week Year 1, 2 and 3 students engaged in this learning. An overview of the lesson content and information for parents and carers is detailed below.
Term 2, 2025 Chicken Sitters
Our four beautiful chickens who live a life of luxury in our amazing chook house (located in the quiet area behind the Kitchen Dining Room) require care throughout term 2.
You will be required to check in on the chickens, collect the eggs, top up food and water, remove manure and replace hay. This should take 15 minutes maximum. However, you are welcome to hang out and relax with the chickens if you would like.

Supporting Each Other: The SKiPPS Community Pantry 🥫💛
Did you know we have a SKiPPS Community Pantry right here at school? It’s stocked with non-perishable food and household items, available for any families in our school community to take from, free of charge, at any time. Whether you're in need of a few essentials or just want to top up the lunchbox, the pantry is there to support you—no questions asked.
The pantry is located next to our lost property racks, just off the quadrangle.
We also warmly welcome donations to help keep the pantry stocked. If you’ve picked up some extra groceries or have spare pantry staples like cereal, muesli bars, pasta, rice, or toiletries, we’d love to add them to the shelves. It’s a simple but powerful way to look out for each other and build the kind of school community we can all be proud of.
Let’s keep making SKiPPS a place where everyone feels supported and included.
