Attendance Matters

Semester 1 Attendance Reports
As a part of your child's Semester 1 report package, you would have received their Semester 1 Attendance Report. We would like to congratulate the many St Johns Park Public School students who have achieved the expected Semester 1 attendance rate of 95-100%. Well done!
If your child's attendance rate is below 95%, please consider how you might work with your child and the school to improve their rate in Semester 2. Attending school every day allows your child to get the most out of their learning and, in the long term, to enhance their career and life options. Regular school attendance can help expand your child’s learning and foster positive relationships with their peers.
If you require support in getting your child to school for any reason, please reach out to us.
Arriving late at school
At St Johns Park Public School every minute of learning counts. We encourage all students to arrive on time every day. This means being at school before the 9:10am bell. Being on time ensures your child does not miss out on important teaching and learning. It also helps establish good life habits and allows students to have a settled and calm start to their morning.
In the event that your child arrives after the bell, an adult should accompany them to the office to sign them in and provide a reason for their late arrival. It is a requirement that parents provide a reason for all absences whether they be part or whole day.
We greatly appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that our students arrive on time and ready to learn!
