OnPsych Back at CNPS!

Great news! CNPS has been allocated a new psychologist from Onpsych. Sarah Chapman is set to begin in term 2.

If you wish for your child to access psychology sessions onsite, please complete the attached consent and information form and obtain a current Mental Health Care Plan from your child's GP.

Dear Parents and Carers,

My name is Sarah Chapman and I am a registered psychologist specialising in child and adolescent mental health. I am extremely passionate about the importance of early intervention and accessible mental health support.

I will be on-site at Carlton North Primary once a week to provide support for any student that may benefit from psychology sessions.

Concerns/challenges that have a high prevalence in childhood and youth include worry/anxiety, negative thinking, depression, social challenges, concentration, emotional and behavioural regulation challenges. Early intervention is an important step to promote positive coping skills. Not only will this help children negotiate current life challenges, but equips them with strengths and skills for future challenges.

I work collaboratively with you, your child, and the teachers to maximise opportunities for positive growth.  Sessions are run at the school at NO OUT OF POCKET COST through Medicare bulk billing.

If you believe that this might benefit your child, please contact the school administration staff and request a Parent Pack for further information.

Warm Regards,

Sarah
