CELEBRATING OUR PRINCIPAL MRS BAKER

Last week, St Aidan’s celebrated our amazing principal ‘Mrs Baker’ as we spent time expressing our deepest gratitude and acknowledging the thoughtful leadership that she brings to our school each day. Mrs Baker’s commitment to students, staff and families is shown in the countless moments of support offered to staff, students and families in the way she listens, her selflessness and the thoughtful decisions that she makes to keep student learning and wellbeing at the centre.

We honour her not only for what she does, but for who she is - an exceptional leader, a generous mentor, and the heart of our school. The students took a moment to reflect on reasons why they love Mrs Baker, offering a heartfelt reminder of the impact she has made on their individual lives. She demonstrates daily what it means to serve a community with humility and purpose, and we are deeply grateful for her dedication and the lasting difference she continues to make at St Aidan’s.

DEBATING

Congratulations to our Year 5 and Year 6 students who proudly represented St Aidan’s on the 12 August in the Debating Competition against St Bernard’s Botany. The teams debated the topic: “Sport is more important than homework for children.”

Throughout the competition, students strengthened their debating skills by learning how to structure clear arguments (method), build their general knowledge and understanding of current issues (matter), and present confidently to an audience (manner). We are very proud of the commitment and enthusiasm they showed.

Warm regards,
