Mrs Kaileen Carr
What a fantastic day it was on Saturday at the Country Fair. I would like to give a huge thank you to all the parent, staff and student volunteers. We could not have done it without you.
School Community Charter - Please read the attached document outlining the School Community Charter.
At Eglinton we strive to ensure that all teachers, students, parents and community members treat each other with dignity and respect. This is inclusive of drop off and pick up times. The school is committed to building a positive school culture where student, staff and parent wellbeing is a priority. I appreciate your support.
Student Behaviour Code - NSW public schools are committed to providing safe, supportive, and responsive learning environments for everyone across a range of settings. We teach and model the inclusive and safe behaviours we value in our students. Please read the attached document.
Parent Meet and Greet - Thank you to the families who joined us for our first Parent Meet and Greet BBQ. It was a wonderful way to start the year and connect with one another in a relaxed and informal environment. Thank you to the P&C for donating the drinks, sausages and bread.
Reminder:
Please remind your children to submit their devices to the front office upon arrival at school. This includes phones, iPads and smart watches. If students are found with these devices in their bags or on their wrists, they will be required to turn them in at the front office, even if they are in school mode.
Today, the Bathurst Council Parking Inspector was outside the school. He has requested that I remind our community that parking is not allowed in the No Stopping zones near the pedestrian crossing when dropping off or picking up children. Additionally, please refrain from using the disabled parking spaces without a permit, and avoid dropping off or picking up students in the bus bay.
Wishing our students the best of luck as they compete in the PSSA District Swimming Carnival on Friday. I look forward to hearing about your day when you return to school.
Congratulations to Jack Williams, who is representing Western at the NSWPSSA Primary Boys Cricket Championship this week in Maitland. During the first day of the competition, Jack played in a close and exciting contested match against North Coast, where Western put up a great performance, narrowly losing by just 1 run. On day 2, Jack opened the batting for Western with an impressive innings helping Western secure the win, defeating CIS by 12 runs. We hope Jack does well in the remaining games and we are excited to see how the competition turns out.

School Photo envelopes have been sent home with your child. Please ensure you read the instructions as each envelope has an individual order online shoot key and cannot be copied.
All children will have their photo taken on the day. If you would like a family photo, please collect a family envelope from the front office.
If you are unable to pay online, the correct money must be in the sealed photo envelope supplied and given directly to MSP Photography on the day.
