Sunhats:
Sunhats must be worn in terms one and four.
We provide every child with a new sunhat on enrollment and do our best to support our children, NOT to lose them.
We ask that these hats be kept at school so that we know our children are sunsafe.
If your child loses their sunhat, it now costs $10 to replace it. This is still $5 LESS than it costs us to buy the hat. We are keeping costs down as much as possible to support parents and to ensure the vital need for sun protection is met.
Our tuckshop will be closed on Week 4.
They will only be closed for those three days,
Acting Classes in 2025.
Classes for youth aged 10 -15 years old begin on 12 February, (years 7, 8, 9 or 10 at school).
Have fun, get creative, learn skills for the stage, with experienced tutor John Goudge.
Classes are at Rimu Glade Studio, 4 Rimu Rd, Oratia, 5 – 6.30pm.
The weekly classes are for 3 terms, with performances at the end of term each term.

Western Districts Hockey Club is running a Hockey "Have A Go" Day and Pre-season Academy skills sessions at the Avondale College Turf, starting in late February.

ACADEMY SESSIONS (Skills):

This is open to any Junior/ Youth players (all Primary, Intermediate and High School players) who are either new to hockey or experienced players- come along and learn some new hockey skills for the season ahead.
Junior (Primary/ Intermediate school): 4.30 - 5.30pm
Youth (High School): 5.30 - 6.30pm

Only $40 per participant for all four Academy sessions

Playball is an introduction to eight different sports, Football, Basketball, Netball, Cricket, Baseball, Tennis, Hockey and Rugby.
For all Year 1, 2 and 3 students:
Our aim is not to create superstars but rather to provide children with the opportunity to develop a host of necessary social, educational and personal skills by giving children competence in sport.
Playball is taking final enrolments for term one and will commence on Thursday 15 February from 2:50 pm - 3:45 pm and will run for 8 weeks every Thursday.
