Welcome Back to an Exciting Year in the Library!

Dear Chatswood Public School Families,

Welcome back to another wonderful year of learning, exploring, and, of course, reading! Our school library is ready for another exciting year filled with fantastic books, engaging lessons, and special events that will inspire a lifelong love of reading.

This year, students will enjoy exciting and interactive library lessons, where they will explore the magic of books and develop important research and digital literacy skills. Our library is a place where curiosity thrives, and we can’t wait to help students discover new stories, ideas, and technology that make learning even more fun!

One of the most anticipated events of the year is Book Week, where we celebrate the joy of reading through activities, competitions, and our much-loved Book Week Parade. Start thinking about your favourite book characters now because we can’t wait to see the creative costumes!

We are also thrilled to welcome visiting authors throughout the year. These visits give students the opportunity to meet inspiring writers, learn about the creative process, and discover the magic behind their favourite stories.

And, of course, the library is open for borrowing books, with an incredible selection of fiction and non-fiction titles for every reading level. To help keep our books in great condition, all students will need a library bag to borrow books. Please check your child’s library day to ensure they are prepared each week.

We look forward to another fantastic year in the library, filled with imagination, discovery, and adventure!

Happy reading,

The Library Team
