Holy Spirit,
Strengthen our students with your gifts of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord, and serve as a disciple of Christ. Grant that they may grow into the fullness of the stature of Christ. Fill them with the joy of your presence. Increase in them the fruit of your Spirit. Help them experience and trust your dwelling within so they can count on your guidance today and every day. Show us the way to help one another become better disciples of Jesus Christ, sharing your love with our world and with each person we meet. Come, Holy Spirit! Come!
Amen.

This year, 2025, we follow Year C in our Church readings, focusing on Luke’s gospel.
“The Gospel of Luke begins with the message of hope for those who were among the least in this world: those who were barren, the poor and outcast, and all who were hungry or sick. Then, at the close of the Gospel, even when all seems lost, hope returns in the appearance of the risen Lord, who once again feeds his people with the hope of the kingdom and the nourishment they most need in teaching and sharing a meal in his presence.”
2025 is also a Jubilee Year in the Catholic Church. A Jubilee Year is celebrated every 25 years as a time to reflect on our faith and focus on our spiritual life.
This year, we have been invited by Pope Francis to become ‘Pilgrims of Hope,” - to embark on a journey filled with hope that is felt by us, recognised by others and spreads throughout our world.
