2DGeorgia LFor consistently demonstrating excellent effort and behaviour in Year 2. Georgia, you put your best effort into everything you do and you’re always excited to take on a challenge, especially in maths! Well done and keep it up!
3ALachlan KFor completing your information report and using your best handwriting. Well done Lachlan, I am  so proud of your beautiful handwriting. Keep up the consistent effort ! 
3BOwen DFor continuously displaying his best efforts and upholding the WPS values. Owen, the respect shown toward your classroom and peers is outstanding. Keep it up legend!
3CAva TFor showing such wonderful values and being a fantastic role model to your peers. You have worked so hard with your animal report writing which you should be so proud of!
3DAlyssa CFor your amazing information report on cheetahs. You showed such hard work and persistence to share all of your knowledge about these incredible animals. Well done and keep up the amazing effort!
4AAva AFor writing and delivering a great JSC speech, and then showing great amounts of Resilience when other students were elected. Ava, it is very courageous to even deliver your speech and you should be very proud. Great work!
 Luca MFor writing and delivering a very engaging JSC speech. Luca, the way that you confidently spoke to the cohort and engaged your audience was awesome. You will make a great leader at Wembley over the next couple of years!
4BKareem FFor working extremely hard in planning, writing and refining his persuasive speech on why he should be elected the JSC representative and then delivering a confident and impressive speech to his class. Well done Kareem, you should be so proud of your efforts. It doesn't matter the result, you are a winner!
4CMackenzie DFor the confidence she displayed when reading her JSC speech. Mackenzie should be proud of the way she stood up in front of the Year 4 cohort and delivered her carefully worded JSC speech. She spoke with a clear voice and at a steady pace. Well done Mackenzie, you were amazing!
4DZach CFor demonstrating responsibility for his learning, staying focused and consistently putting forth his best effort. Zach, you’ve shown such great commitment to your learning and been incredibly respectful in your interactions with your peers. You should be super proud of yourself!
5AMarlie CFor consistently showing the Wembley values, and being a fantastic role model within our classroom.  Congratulations on a wonderful term Marlie!  You are a wonderful role model, demonstrating integrity, by always striving to do the right thing even when nobody's watching. Keep up the awesome work!  
5BCruz BFor your absolutely fantastic effort you have shown in all areas of learning this term. Cruz, whether it be solving difficult math problems, decoding reading words or writing stories in great detail, you have shown determination, skill and enthusiasm. Well done on a fantastic term Cruz, looking forward to the rest of the year!
5CHarry MFor your outstanding attitude and the leadership that you display in the classroom and yard. I'm so proud of how you consistently set a good example for others by showing your Wembley Values. It's been a real privilege to be able to watch you grow over the past one and a quarter years. Term 2 Week 1

4ADes GFor creating an interesting and detailed plan for an informative writing piece about a moment from the holidays. Des, the way that you described the events and used interesting vocabulary about your day mountain biking were awesome to see. Keep up the great work!
4BJana SFor her outstanding focus and application to her maths work this week. Jana, you are concentrating so well during the mini lessons and asking questions to support your learning. What a superstar you are!
4CChloe CFor the mature and focused way she has started Term 2. Chloe has displayed independence in her return to school and has been working hard to complete her learning activities. She has been raising her hand when she has a question and persisting with challenging tasks. Keep up the amazing work Chloe!
4DAngus MFor showing incredible resilience to push through not one, but two fractured wrists and still keep kicking goals like the star he is! Angus, I’ve been so proud of how you have approached your learning this week. Well done on finding the humour in your situation, for still putting in your top effort and of course for your adaptability. Congratulations buddy!
5AJack NFor amazing focus and his growth mindset when trying a new subtraction strategy!  Amazing work Jack, you worked logically through the vertical algorithm, using renaming and did an awesome job.  Keep up the great work! 
5BAlexander KFor your fantastic use of similes and metaphors in writing this week! Alex, you have shown creativity and enthusiasm in writing this year, which has been fantastic to see! Keep up the great work, well done!

For your bravery and positive engagement as you started to settle seamlessly into the Wembley community. Arjun, you’ve done a fabulous job making new friends, participating actively in class and sharing your knowledge with your peers. I cannot wait to see what the rest of the term and year holds for you. We are so lucky to have you in 6B!
6CAdella CFor modelling a wonderful attitude toward learning and challenging herself in all areas. Adella consistently uses her academic strengths to support others, which creates a positive and encouraging environment within the classroom. Super effort Adella!

STUDENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

 

Kaspar - Freestyle BMX competition

Over the last two months Kas has been taking Freestyle BMX classes and has become very good. On request he wanted me to let you know, that he had his first competition and was fortunate to come first in the under 8’s category. 

 

Jed D and Rhett D - cycling

Congratulations to Jed D and Rhett D on their cycling accomplishments 

Jed from Year 4 and Rhett from Year 1 competed in the Brunswick Cycling Clinic Championships. Jed won 1st place in his grade and 3rd place in his age group. Rhett took 2nd place in both his grade and age group. Rhett also won the Most Improved - Boys for the season and wants to follow in his big brother’s, Zak, footsteps and ride the Tour de France one day.

 

 

Jade F and Violet F - Greg Wolf Awards

Congratulations to Jade F and Violet F on achieving their Greg Wolf awards this month. This is the highest award for the cub section of scouts. It take about 3 years to achieve.

If there are any acknowledgements that parents/students wish to share with us and can be celebrated with our wider community, we ask that you email us at wembley.ps@education.vic.gov.au with the student/s name/s, a summary of the acknowledgement and any photos that you would be comfortable sharing and we will aim to include it in our fortnightly WPS newsletter.
